Clackamas County, Metro and parks and recreation stakeholders have joined forces to create a master plan that addresses public outdoor recreation needs for Barton Park and its associated properties.

Members of the public are to invited attend a virtual open house through April 12, 2020, to share feedback on the programs and features they’d like to see at the park. The county will use this input to create the final design.

Located along the Clackamas River, Barton Park draws people from across the region for memorable camping, river recreation, picnics and time spent in nature. While the plan is to continue popular features that people come back for year after year, additional ideas include accommodating late spring and fall camping; providing access to the Cazadero Trail; improving traffic circulation in the park for hikers, bikers and motorists, and connections with Carver Park.
