Resurfacing of 18 miles of Upper Highland, Lower Highland, Ferguson, Carus roads begins June 11; expect lane closures

Clackamas County will resurface approximately 18 miles of roadway in the Beavercreek and Colton areas beginning Thursday, June 11, through Sept. 30.

The roads to be resurfaced are:

  • Upper Highland Road: Beavercreek Road to Highway 211
  • Lower Highland Road: Beavercreek Road to Upper Highland Road
  • Ferguson Road: Beavercreek Road to dead end (1 mile north of Henrici Road)
  • Carus Road: Beavercreek Road to Lower Highland Road

Work will take place during daylight hours, Monday through Friday. There is a possibility of additional weekend or night work depending on weather and other conditions. Driveway connections will be constructed once the main roadway paving is complete.

The road will remain open during construction, but there will be lane closures with delays of up to 20 minutes at a time. Travelers will be assisted by flaggers and pilot cars, and are asked to slow down and use caution near the work zone.
