Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The Hamlet of Beavercreek Board of Directors is an elected group of volunteer citizens and an advisory body to the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners. We represent the communities of Beavercreek, Carus, Fishers Corner, and Echo Dell and the almost 10,000 people living within the over 34 square mile area known as The Hamlet of Beavercreek. As advisors representing our community to the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners and other jurisdictions we want to present our Core Values regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

We recognize that we are all unique individuals, diverse in our capabilities, backgrounds, experience, and knowledge. We celebrate and embrace our diversity. We each have something to contribute to the greater good, and welcome active participation and discussion while observing the respect due each of us.

We want to include all voices, so all can be heard. The quiet voice has as much right to speak and be considered as does the loudest. It is only by including all voices that all can benefit. We strive to afford the opportunity for every citizen of The Hamlet of Beavercreek to participate and express themselves on matters before the Hamlet.

We believe all citizens of The Hamlet of Beavercreek, Clackamas County, Oregon, the United States of America, and the world, deserve respect and the opportunity to excel to each individual’s capacity, with freedom from bias or favoritism. We do not discriminate against any person.

These are the values that guide us in our actions and decisions as a Board of Directors representing The Hamlet of Beavercreek.
